We have always stayed here but as of this year we will not be returning due to the fact we can't smoke even outside of our room or in the bar.

We stayed four times last year staying a week at a time plus once getting two rooms for our whole family.

To bad you can't smoke anymore.

Manager's Response: Hello Tammy! The Sandpiper Beacon has transitioned from just having no-smoking rooms, to now being an no-smoking property. However, we do not wish to alienate our guests who smoke, and so we have created 4 designated smoke-friendly Tiki Cabanas on the beach for you to enjoy. You can see where they are located on our property map. Hopefully this means we haven't lost you as a guest. Please reach out to us if you have any questions. Thank you.

I sent a review back in April and saw you never posted it.

So that makes me think that you only post the best reviews and not the ones like I sent.

We stayed three days in March and April.

We brought our daughter and 3 friends down to celebrate a special birthday. What a wonderful time, once again!

The Sandpiper Beacon staff truly understand what family life is like, and you can tell it is their priority to treat everyone well. They are SO kind and accommodating.

The girls had an amazing time on the beach, the swings, the outdoor pools, and especially the lazy river.

The rooms were clean and fun and very comfortable.

We love it, and that's why we return each year.

We had the most fabulous this year! We have been staying at the Sandpiper for years, but this was by far the best experience to date.

I would like to talk about how great the staff is, one in particular his name is Chance.

He has been there every year that we have and his customer service is beyond belief. He is definitely an asset to the resort.

This was our second time staying at the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort.

Our room was clean and spacious. It appeared to have been recently updated.

Everything was so much better than our first stay, which was a few years ago.

Every one was nice especially considering we booked the same day we arrived.

We will definitely stay here again.

I made reservations for my daughter and three other family members to stay at the Sandpiper Beacon Resort (which a co-worker of mine had recommended), and I am glad I did!

My daughter said that it was the best stay ever and that they will be back (they are from Alabama and Georgia).

I'd like to thank Kerry for her kindness, cheerfulness and extreme professionalism shown during the reservation process. My daughter said that Kerry was there when they arrived and that she was SUPER NICE!

I haven't been to the beach in years, but when I do come I will (most definitely) make this the place to stay.

Great show at night. Fun activities that included the whole family.

If you don't stay here you're cheating your self!

We interviewed 100 couples, aged 15 to 76. 81% were return guest… We noticed that some of the guests came here expecting to see during our time of stay. It's almost like meeting family for a vacation.

The staff learns you by name. Try that elsewhere!

This is DEFINITELY the Family Fun place! We just got home from a Beautiful 4 days at the Sandpiper Beacon.

Security was good and the Spring Breakers were surprisingly well behaved. When we booked our rooms we were warned ahead of time that it was Spring Break. They told us they would put us on the family side. We had stayed before so we weren't easily scared away by Spring Breakers.

Everyone was GREAT. The rooms were clean and they treated us like we were at home. This is our 4th stay here and we will DEFINITELY BE BACK! Everything is right there. No need to even leave the facility.

Mini golf, lazy river, heated pools, slides, bar and grill, gift shop with anything you need and so many more fun activities.

Just BOOK IT! You won't go wrong!

Our party of 4 adults are here at the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort NOW. It is our 1st visit.

We checked in on Monday and today is Thursday. Everything has gone super great. We checked in with ease and got the exact reservation and price I agreed to. Every person on staff has had a smiling face and delightful greeting. The accommodations are adequate and clean everywhere.

The refrigerator and stove were spotless and the pots and pans were not built up with grease. There are many fun things to do here.

Today we tried the restaurant and my crabmeat omelet was super delicious. If you have kids, this is the place to be. They will love it. Also you can bring "mans best friend" if you know who I mean.

Checkout for us will be Saturday, but I will come back again. This is my review sent with pleasure from a hard to please guest.

Like I have seen on other reviews, you do not have to ever leave the place, they have everything you need all in one place. You might have to leave to go get some groceries, but that would be about it.

The staff are very helpful, and the guests are usually always friendly, good place to meet new people.

It is a great place for families with kids, with 3 pools, a playground, and activities centered around kids.

The Tiki bar is a great place for the adults to go and have fun.

My family and I can not give enough thanks to Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort!

This was our first time visiting Panama City Beach and the hotel that we had booked ended up being horrible!

I called the Sandpiper and was told there was a room available and it would be held for me to come look at to make sure I was in agreement before paying!

This place is amazing! The staff displayed a hospitality I have never seen before!

We will be returning to "The Fun Place" for loads more fun!

We were in the beach house for 7 days Aug 1 to 8 2015. We have never been disappointed.

The updates were a pleasant surprise. The kids were never bored and the weather was beautiful!

The Tiki bar is always family friendly!

I've tried staying elsewhere... But nothing compares! The Sandpiper is by far the best place to stay!

In-laws come here all the time and they decided they wanted the WHOLE family to go on vacation together.

So all 16 stayed here in 2 suites. It was wonderful and I am not a big beach person.

My teens had fun and my husband did too.

Only thing I would recommend would to have more towels and blankets/pillows available. Will come back again.

If you plan to go to PCB it's a no brainier to stay at the Sandpiper.

We have been coming here for 8 years now and never had a complaint.

From the water slides to the lazy river to the view it's perfect for our family.

This was our first time staying here. The Kids and grandkids loved it.

There were a lot of things to do at the hotel so we did not have to go out to find things to do.

We loved our stay! It had plenty to do for the little ones and the big ones!

It was my husband's 1st beach trip and he absolutely loved it!

The activities were so much fun and right on the beach!

Loved how nice the staff was!

Only things I would say is we would have loved to have taken our German Shep. However, he is over 10 pounds.

Also $800 for three nights is a little steep! I whish there was a program; "stay so many get so many".

We will be saving up to return!

We checked into a room with a full kitchen, to my amazement they offer everything down to dish soap & pot scrubbers! All dishes were supplied!

Rooms were awesome; roomy and clean.

We were able to bring our dog, which was a must.

I noticed during our 7 day stay that no matter what time of day or night, all staff was so nice. Always smiling. Always helpful. This was a big thing I wanted to add. I've never stayed somewhere so friendly!

We had requested no room service, they respected our wished and they made sure to ask if we needed fresh towels, sheets etc.

The rooms came with extra pillows, the balconies have table & chairs.

I could go on for days about how much we loved this place! We will be returning & we will be recommending this place to EVERYONE!

Nothing negative really comes to mind...

Movie nights were awesome. We participated in a corn hole tournament (one of the many free activities) Michael and I won, Alyssa (my 6 year old daughter) was my personal assistant. She held my bags in between turns. Our prize for winning was a free T-shirt from their gift shop. They (Casey) gave us an extra certificate for Alyssa for being so good during the tournament. She was beyond excited about that.

I have been staying in this very hotel since I was a little girl. This place is one of the best places on Earth and I would not want to stay anywhere else.

I have enjoyed it throughout the years. The sandpiper has so many fun activities and things for the kids.

The staff is overall amazing and kind. I always enjoy the pools and the resort its self. The rooms are always clean as well as the pool area.

Everything about this hotel is awesome and is the best resort in all of Panama! Thank you Sandpiper Beacon for a wonderful stay every time!

First, let me say that this hotel gets a BIG thumbs up for proximity, entertainment and service. My companion and I arrived in Panama City, not knowing what to expect. We found that the hotel that we booked was an hour from the beach, with stuffy amenities, smoky rooms and nosey service.

On our last night, we looked for a place close to the beach. Although the room was not large, we were on the beach, so who cared. This is exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of room outside to lay in a hammock or just sit in a swing to relax.

We had a wonderful time because we found this spot, and guess what; it was the same price we paid for the smoky upper-class hotel that was an hour away.

I know where I'm staying when I return. The woman at the front desk, was one of the best hostess-I believe she was German...Keep doing what you do!

I'll be back, definitely!

I stayed at Sandpiper Beacon last Spring Break and it was the perfect place! It is right on the beach AND it has a club that you get into for free every night... You EVEN get to pass the other people in line!

It was a gorgeous place and wasn't that expensive! I can't wait to come back!

Didn't get to come this Spring Break, but I am coming back for the summer! SOOOOOO EXCITED

The Sandpiper holds their motto to be true. This resort is everything you could want and more!

They have so many things to do within the resort that you would never have to leave the resort. From mini golf to the Tiki Bar at this place is amazing.

I have been here 3 times, and never regretted staying here. I do not think that I would stay anywhere else in Panama City Beach.

I really recommend this hotel to anyone. Spring Breakers, or the ordinary family vacation.

This place is an awesome place to stay. At first reading the reviews we were a little skeptical, but I am so glad we didn't listen to them!

My husband and I stayed at the Sandpiper for the first time 3 years ago and haven't stayed anywhere else.

You can literally not leave the resort and have everything you need. Food, drinks, activities for the kids, etc. You name it its there.

We try to make it down at least once a year if not twice and enjoy it every time.

It's affordable and a great place for families.

Go ENJOY the Sandpiper, you'll be glad you did.

My husband and I took our honeymoon at the Sandpiper Beacon, and where our room was located was perfect.

The beach was at our front door along with the Tiki Bar and hot tub! The activities were fun.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We actually just booked our vacation to go again in may for our 3 year anniversary and I wouldn't pick any other place than the Sandpiper!

My family and I stayed with y'all Feb 19-22. This was my boys' first time ever to Florida and Panama City Beach. It was amazing.

It was in the 20's when we arrived and our room was nice and warm. Our partial view was a full view. This was the best.

My boys' faces when they saw the ocean were priceless! Thank y'all for an amazing time. We will be staying with y'all again this summer.

Oh and your housekeeping service kept our room very clean. My youngest son carries a puppy around and we left him in the room and they always made it look like he was the one cleaning the room. It was very sweet. Thank you for that.

My family and I stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon for 2 days last weekend. We were very impressed with all the kid friendly amenities available to us.

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, from the front desk staff, the housekeeping staff, to meeting Robert by the pool area, and finally to the very helpful staff in the gift shop who fitted my grandkids with swim masks.

We will definitely return & always recommend your hotel in the future.
