Yes, we are starting our list off with a seafood restaurant.
The TGM Cheddar Burger at the Grand Marlin takes everything you love about a backyard burger and elevates it.
Essentially, it’s a classic cheeseburger crafter with premium ingredients. Topped with Tillamook cheddar cheese, and filled with a great balance of tomato, lettuce and house made pickles.
Served on a soft and fluffy brioche bun, this burger will leave you licking your fingers.
Gulf Coast Burger Co.
The clue is in the name. If these guys know one thing, it’s burgers. The customization options here are as fun as they are tasty. Create your own mac n cheese chicken burger with bacon, topped with a jalapeño poppers or mini corn dogs.
There are no rules, and nobody will tell you ‘no’. Customize the protein, bread and toppings or just order some of the pairings they have created over the years. The Florida burger includes bacon, egg, avocado spread, American cheese served on a brioche bun with an orange slice topper.
That’s what makes Gulf Coast Burger Co. a must-try on our list. Nowhere else makes burgers more fun. The fact they taste spectacular too is just the icing on the burger…
Schooners
This is your quintessential cheeseburger in paradise. Schooner’s is located off Thomas Drive and has pretty views of the Gulf.
There’s no logical reason this should make your burger taste better, but somehow it does.
Locals know Schooners for their tasty and filling salads and their classic, delicious cheeseburger.
There’s nothing fancy or premium about the toppings or the setting. Everything comes down the overall experience.
This is a great way to enjoy a good old fashioned classic burger in Panama City Beach.
Patches Pub & Grill
Patches is one of those locals spots that vacationers like to get recommendations about.
It may not be fine dining, but their “Old Mcdonald” burger sure tastes pretty fine.
Loaded with BBQ pulled pork, bacon, pepperjack cheese and a fired egg there’s nothing traditional about this one.
But if you’re looking for a tasty burger with character and some great live music, give this one a try sometime.
Coconuts Restaurant
Did we save the save the best for last when it comes to the best Panama City Beach Burger?
Located on the preferred West-End of Panama City Beach, Coconuts sits opposite the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort. If you value those “local’s secret” kind of spots they find on places like the Travel channel, this is it.
Coconuts has a reputation for serving the best breakfast on the beach, but we’re talking burgers. If one of their burgers takes the crown, it’s got to be the bacon cheddar burger. Loaded with 1/4lb of certified Angus beef, and topped with a sharp melted cheddar cheese, this is the all American heavyweight burger champion.
It’s the playground bully of burgers that makes the others look wimpy by comparison.
Wayback Burger
Honorable mention, and a surprise addition to the list is a chain fast food restaurant.
If you haven’t tried Wayback burger before, you are in for a treat. All their burgers are cooked on a flat top and they aim to create a modern version of the classic 50’s style diner. For a fast casual dining franchise, these burgers are some of the tastiest and juiciest we’ve tried.
From the wayback classic, to the ‘Cheeeesy’, which is part burger, part grilled cheese sandwich with four slices of cheese! Toppings can be loaded up and customized, and their shakes are smooth and satisfying.
If you’re looking for a man-vs-food style challenge, they also offer a nine patty burger. You probably wont be able to eat it without unhinging your jaw, but it will make for a pretty epic vacation photo!
