St. Andrews State Park is just a short drive from the Sandpiper Beacon, and is pet friendly. Well known for its sugar white sands and emerald green waters, St. Andrews State Park is a beautiful area for Sandpiper Beacon guests to enjoy all year round.
A former military reservation, St. Andrews State Park has over one-and-a-half miles of beaches on the Gulf of Mexico and Grand Lagoon. Water sports enthusiasts will love swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, and canoeing at St. Andrews. The park also has two fishing piers a jetty, and a boat ramp, so there's lots of chances to catch your dinner!
St. Andrews State Park also offers two nature trails which wind through a rich diversity of coastal plant communities, great for bird-watching and photography opportunities!
Shell Island Boat Tours and shuttles are available during the Spring and Summer seasons. Shell Island is a natural, undeveloped island, which lies between the Gulf of Mexico and St. Andrews Bay. Home to one of the world's highest concentrations of bottle-nosed dolphins the island's pristine beauty and abundant wildlife make it an enjoyable and exciting way to spend the day.
